How trade sanctions are enforced by (OTSI).

On 12th September 2024, the Department for Business and Trade and the Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation (OTSI) released guidance on the enforcement of trade sanctions. OTSI will begin enforcing sanctions under The Trade, Aircraft and Shipping Sanctions (Civil Enforcement) Regulations 2024, starting 10th October 2024.

The Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses (GFSB) has formed a strategic partnership with the UK Institute of Directors (IoD) to enhance local business leadership development. This collaboration will bring IoD’s highly-regarded Director development programmes to Gibraltar, offering training akin to a ‘mini MBA.’ The flagship IoD Certificate in Company Direction will launch in October 2024.

New online platform launched to support UK Black entrepreneurs

The Black Business Network (BBN) and Lloyds Bank have launched the Black Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Network (BEECON), a free online platform to support Black entrepreneurs in the UK. BEECON is a response to the “Black. British. In Business and Proud” report, which called for a UK-wide Black business ecosystem with tailored support.
