AWS plans to invest £8 billion in the UK, supporting 14,000 jobs annually in local businesses

Amazon Web Services (AWS) will invest £8 billion in the UK between 2024-2028 to build and operate data centres, contributing £14 billion to the UK’s GDP.

 

This investment is expected to support over 14,000 full-time equivalent jobs annually across the data centre supply chain, including construction, engineering, and telecommunications. AWS’s total UK investment from 2020-2028 will exceed £11 billion.
