UK IPO Launches New IP Support Scheme for SMEs
The UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has launched “IP Advance,” a pilot scheme providing targeted financial support to innovative SMEs. This scheme replaces the previous IP Audit and IP Access programs, helping businesses leverage their IP assets.
IP Advance offers two levels of support:
IP Audit: Part-funding of £2,250 for an IP audit, with businesses contributing £750. This includes a report and follow-up consultation.
IP Access: Up to £2,250 for professional IP advice to implement IP strategies, with businesses covering at least 50% of the cost.
