The British High Commissioner, Dr. Richard Montgomery, visited Abia from Aug. 20 to Aug. 21, engaging in high-level discussions with Governor Alex Otti, government stakeholders, and business leaders. The visit, noted by Atinuke Akande-Alegbe of the British High Commission, aimed to explore economic partnerships between the UK and Abia.
Montgomery and Otti discussed mutual opportunities to enhance prosperity in the region. They attended the graduation of the State-Level Inclusive Digital Transformation Programme, funded by the UK’s Digital Access Programme, which aims to bridge the digital skills gap among Abia’s civil servants.
